This was such a refreshing story! I fell hard and fast for Jack. With some of the things he said, you can't help but to love him."I don't know why l say the shit I do sometimes. I don't know that guy either. Unfortunately, I have to live with his screw ups. I don't want you to be one of those things I screwed up."
And:
"I'm asking with you want to get married one day. Because I know I want to marry you. But we need to build a relationship. And, your proposal should be spectacular. So this is not it."
Don't that just make you swoon!
Lisa Gillis has a refreshing writing style. It didn't take me long to find the rhythm of this book. They were times when I thought she was going back and forth between first and third person, but I was never once confused. One more of my reading hick ups, or maybe her writing is just that strong. I'm not sure. I just know is that I love this book.
"The kiss he laid on her was caring, tender, and forgiving, and the kiss she gave back was convincing, trusting, and fiery with love."
I liked how she let the emotions play out. They both were on shaky ground. Neither one sure of how the other was feeling you see and feel their suspicions and their hopes.
If it wasn't for my tired eyes, I would have finished this book in one setting. As it was, it took me about three hours to finish book one, but that's three hours I didn't have for book two. Now that I know there's a book three, well, y'all know what I'm doing for the next few days. Take care...

I order this book in 2014 and just found it on my kindle in 2016 and OMG why did I wait so long! I love Jack (like everyone else), he is so not what the public-facing Jack is (you'll see) and Marissa was fun to watch develop. I could not put the book down, I finished it in one night. Enjoy the series, I am on to the novellas...
Jack Who? is amazingly well written and I am in love with this story. I first had the joy of reading it on Wattpad, and gladly purchased the book as soon as it was released. The character development is amazing and I fell right into place. The way the characters have quirks and are almost like real people is really well portrayed. All of the issues they face are very realistic to what it might be like to fall for a rock star. The romance side of it is extremely well done, steamy and pleasurable all the way through. I recommend this to anyone looking for some rock star love.
This was a nice read with well rounded, dynamic characters. The author did a great job taking a bunch of threads and weaving a beautiful story. Tristan stole my heart and Jack won me over despite his mood swings. Marissa....oh Marissa. I loved her but she was also incredibly frustrating. Jack didn't really help any but she would blow things way out of proportion. It was a little annoying that the majority of the conflicts in this book were a result of her quick judgments. For that and for the way to fast progression of Jack and Marissa's relationship I had to deduct a star. All and all though it was a good read and I look forward to seeing where their story goes next.

This was a very good story with lots of excellent characters. I enjoyed how the author developed the romance between the two main characters and added just the right amount of suspense into this story. I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.
Author Lisa Gillis knows how to write romance. This story revolves around Marissa, a woman who caught her boyfriend cheating on her, and Jack, a sexy musician.
Marissa wants revenge against her boyfriend and is looking for a hookup. She encounters Jack, and she gets much more than she expected.
I enjoyed the characters and the situations the author put them in. The book was a pleasure to read, and I look forward to enjoying more books by this talented writer.
It can in this series starter by Lisa Gillis. Here, Marissa enjoys a one night stand with a rocker in hopes of getting over her cheating ex. It works. But how is Marissa going to get over the rock star? Especially as their night left them more than she bargained for.
I loved the character of Jack. He was a really sexy, kindhearted, musician with a shy heart and a deep sense of responsibility. I had a bit more trouble with Marissa. She didn't resonate with me... most likely my problem and not the writer's. The supporting characters are likable when they're supposed to be, and obnoxious when needed. It's a well-rounded cast. The writing itself is quite good, as is the editing.
For sensitive readers, there is harsh language. The sex is more sensual than graphic. The reader knows what Jack and Marissa are up to, but no details are provided.
Overall, this is a good book, and I enjoyed it.
Jack Who? kept me up all night! I just downloaded this literary gem yesterday. I only meant to read a few pages to get the flavor of the story and ended up devouring the whole thing. This rockin’ romance was an easy read that drew me in from the first word and locked me in until the last. It takes a ton of hard work and talent to tell a story this smoothly and seamlessly. Throw in a cast of colorful characters, a thrilling hero, a relatable heroine, intense desire, palpable attraction and just the right amount of conflict, and you have a blissful reading experience. Jack Who? is a romance readers dream come true! By the way, this was my first rock star romance, but it won’t be my last. I’m off to buy the rest of the books in this series right now!
